Welcome to Issue 31 of Think Fishing and this month I’ve taken you to a venue that I’ve wanted bring the cameras to for a long time - Tockenham Reservoir, near Swindon. It’s a venue that I’ve fished since I was a kid and it’s also a place I go to practice a lot of the styles and techniques I use when I’m fishing for England in big international matches.

It’s full of silver fish and for this issue I went there with the aim of showing you how to catch skimmers on the pole and also show you the difference between targeting them with natural baits and pellets. Even on a natural venue pellets definitely have a place, as do natural baits, and in this issue you can see the difference they can make to your skimmer fishing.
