Welcome to Issue 10 of Think Fishing and for me, it’s always nice to go back to the scene of a recent big match win and that’s exactly what I decided to do for this issue. At the end of October I won a big pole only competition at Barston Lakes near Birmingham, so I wanted to bring the cameras along so I could show you the tactics I used to win that match. But, on the day we filmed, conditions had changed considerably since then with colder air temperatures, colour in the water and lower water temperatures plus the fact I was no longer limited to the pole meant I could fish the feeder as well.
It was a day when tactics needed to be spot on and it gave me the perfect opportunity to show you a trick that has caught me so many bonus over the last few years, it’s frightening! I certainly enjoyed the day and caught some unbelievable fish and one of them was particularly memorable. Hope you enjoy the issue.Des
